The weather forecast

The weather seems to deteriorate more every winter I have been here. So to add to the snow and ice, we have the winds and tornadoes. And now we are all set to welcome one of the worst blizzards to hit the area.Yeah I live in Indiana which is expected to receive about 24" of snow, now doesn't that sound like fun.

A major winter storm brings blizzard conditions and a crippling ice storm to the region through tomorrow night. All snow is expected in eastern Kansas, central and western Missouri, northern sections of Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio, Michigan, Wisconsin, Iowa and eastern Nebraska. Accumulations of 12 to 24 inches are forecast in an arc from southeastern Kansas through western and northern Missouri to southern Michigan and northern Ohio. Strong winds of 20 to 40 mph and gusts over 50 mph will produce blizzard conditions in those same areas.
Lighter snow is expected across Nebraska, eastern South Dakota, Minnesota, northern Iowa, northern Wisconsin and northern Michigan. Storm totals there should be 1 to 6 inches with the higher amounts to the south.
An ice storm is expected in south-central Missouri and central and southern portions of Illinois, Indiana and Ohio. Ice accumulations will depend on how much sleet is mixed in with the freezing rain. There will be a narrow band from south-central Missouri through central Ohio that could have 3/4 to 1 1/4 inches of ice accumulation. All other areas could have up to 3/4 of an inch of ice accumulation. Power outages are likely due to the weight of the ice.
