One Dress Project

Found this blog on digg and it is really interested to read. She claims it is not something new but this is the first time I am reading about it. It is really fascinating that someone can live in the same dress for 365 days. Well technically it is two but it is still the same exact thing.
I would love to do it and I almost manage it on my job because I wear green pants and a green jacket but there is variety in the shirts I wear so do not really adhere to the just one dress. Your clothes normally define you because you let them. Most people feel confident when they know they are wearing good clothes. If you are wearing the same dress like her then you are taking that factor completely out of the equation. Now it is all about the person.
It would be a challenge to show it to all those people who pay so much attention to fashion and spends precious hours of their lives trying to figure out what attire and accessories to wear. They claim that clothes are self expression because they reflect what you wear but in truth they all look like clones. If some fashion expert claim ripped jeans are in fashion then the self expression goes in the garbage can and everyone has those ripped jeans on. Don't tell me all of them wanted to look like homeless people.
Clothes make you happy and I have 2 closets full of them. There are different ones for each occasion. At one stage in my life if I could, I would have just worn a pair of jeans and shirt everyday. But people in my life insisted that if I wanted to go out I had to wear clothing that they deemed suitable and that defined my perspective on clothes and what is appropriate for what occasion. Now if I decided that I was going to wear just one dress for the rest of the year then there would be no other clothes. I would love to try this experiment at some point in my life but I do not dare because I don't have the b**** to do it.
