Restarting the New Year

Some friends of mine recently decided to have a party to celebrate the start of the new year again. For various reasons they did not get to party on new year's eve and so wanted to restart the year again. Sounded absurd to most people when I told them about it but I think it is a novel concept. If we mess something up at times we go back to the start and do it all again. So what is wrong with the year. How does it matter if you start the year on Jan 1st or Jan 24th. All it matters is you are beginning again and it is a fresh start.

I liked the idea too because even though I partied on new year's eve, I was just not happy. Too many old conflicts were brewing in my head. This time around I made sure I was with people I knew and cared about and the year for sure began in better spirits. Having Neha around was the icing on the cake.:)
