A peck on the cheek

My friend and were searching for nonsense Hindi movies on the weekend on Netflix and came across this beautiful movie. It is definitely worth some mention. A Mani Ratnam movie, perfectly set and beautifully told through the eyes of a 9yr old combined with Rehmans music. The movie was in Tamil and so we had to watch it with sub titles but, in no way did it make the movie less forceful. It is definitely made for an audience that knows some amount of history about the Tamil Tigers and unrest in Sri Lanka but even without the knowledge the movie would evoke a definite response in some form. I recommend this movie for all, if they like watching anything besides the normal Bollywood potboilers.
