Why do an MBA?

Why exactly do I want to do it? This question perturbs me because I have been trying to write an essay career vision and others and have been trying to figure it out. All I can say is because I want a change. It is because I am done being an engineer and want to be a manager.

The truth is, I have no idea. I have absolutely no clue why I want to do it and it is scary because it might be the wrong decision. Maybe I should not apply at all and go find another job. Naah I want to make the leap and progress up the ladder faster then usual and an MBA is the best bet. How do you say that in nice words. Any ideas? I have none and my cousin keeps asking me what is your career vision...I do not understand from your essays. What do I tell her, that I do not understand either. I have just sailed through life without a vision in mind and opportunities have just knocked on the door.Maybe its time I analyze myself because I really need to figure out why I want to do that freaking MBA.

So I sort of know why I want to do it, its because I love bossing people around. Nah, its because I enjoy the feeling of being in control and holding the strings. Its because right now for anything I do, I have to run it by the boss or colleague. Do not like that. Think that will work for the admissions board. No it will not because they do not like to hear the truth. They want some made up stuff like I always wanted to be a manager and that has been my life long dream. Which kid in their right mind thinks that? No one, most of them want to be teachers, doctors or astronauts.Its the cool thing to do. Being a manager is mundane and you have to go to meetings all day. That is not fun.
