Goodbye 2021- Hello 2022

I made this sketch over the last month when my communications person egged me to reflect and create something for the organisation year ender (Did not finish it in time to be included due to personal reasons). The sketching made me realise, it has been a roller coaster ride with the wheels almost coming off the track at times both in the personal and professional domain but we kept the train going either way.

In the past , there has been no train, it has been one bogey and it stayed on track because I pushed myself to achieve the maximum but this time it was different. I had people to lean on and we stood by each other and ensured the other did not fall. I am grateful both in the personal and professional domain to have people that showed up when you needed them and people who made sure they had your back when you were faltering. Can't say it was easy but it has been a team effort to survive as much as we have in the last year and have the spectacular highs.

The phone has been flooded with happy new year messages since the last two days on one side and very dreary messages on the other of 6000+ NGOs not getting an extension on their FCRA licenses. I am not entirely sure how to say let's start this year. I am just hoping this year is not as much of a roller coaster as the last year and the highs still continue and the lows don't hit us as hard as they did.
