The Wedding Bug

Yup it is spreading fast amongst all my friends. People are getting engaged, married and popping babies. The former two are more frequent then the latter case. I am not overreacting because the numbers speak for themselves. To start 7 people are engaged in my section and 2 weddings planned for May. Just 1 baby. Amongst my other friends all my closest pals from different scopes of life are getting hitched. To start in December, 1 school friend was married, the other engaged. After that a friend from Michigan was engaged and now is getting married in June. Just recently a friend from undergrad announced his engagement in May and wedding in Dec.The last one, going for a wedding of a work friend in May. So people from every aspect of my life are stung by the wedding bug. 


I am definitely happy for them but have been thinking about this for the last couple of days and its scary. Everyone I know is slowly going to be a couple. Hanging out with couple even though both are your friends, is just not as much fun as singles. What should I do ? Make new friends ? Hmmmm,find a boy..?  I think the former is probably easier, considering there are not many single desirable men around. Time to go on the prowl for new single friends. Are any of those left in my age group ? Who knows, will find out when I start the hunt. Till then am just going to hope more friends are not stung by the wedding bug.
