I need a life...

People say I have a busy life coz I do so many things but they don't understand that I do so many things to fill my time because I don't have a life...A personal life. All I have is my couch, the TV and a bowl of cereal. Sounds kind of miserable but that’s the truth. I guess when you are single, live by yourself and work in a company full of old people, you tend to have some or no friends at all and a very limited social life. Most of the young people I interact with have a significant other.

I understand now why some of my friends from grad school just went ahead and agreed to an arranged marriage. It is because they were bored and didn't have any sort of social interaction and obviously because some of them just wanted to get married. I guess having a husband or a wife, kind of just fills the void of having no friends at all. It's not funny but I gave a thought to this idea as well but I am too career oriented to sacrifice everything and settle down to a married life. I want to do more and need to achieve a lot more. I guess I just need to find a better single life, for some time atleast.
