I feel Inspired
I went for a couple of lectures some days ago given by some Acharya from Chinmaya mission. I don't really agree with his ideology but I really liked his logical thinking and reasoning about life and its small decisions. The main topic for his lecture was how to be happy in life and of finding joy in every sorrow in life. I know it is really difficult and I am the first person to be full of self pity, the idea that I could achieve this joy sounds good to me.
One of the things he talked about was about how your day is more bearable if you get up happy in the morning. I definitely agree with him on that one. Most of the times I get up in the morning, I am always rushed and so in a crappy mood. On those special seldom occurring days when I get up a few minutes earlier and eat my breakfast or just take my time to get ready, my day seems to start out on the right note.
Another thing he mentioned was making time for the important things in life, mainly you. His logical reasoning and calculations concerning our weekly schedule displayed that there is a lot of time we cannot account for which we while away doing absolutely nothing at all. His systematic method of creating and utilizing that time was very interesting. What he said was start out small because, nothing can be achieved in a second, it does take some time depending on the task. So for instance if you need an hour to study or exercise start out with ten and then with daily or weekly increments depending on how big your goal is you will be able to adjust the time in your schedule.
Besides these there were a number of thing that were interesting but these were of note that had the stickiness factor for my brain. I feel inspired and have been trying to use these ideas, obviously with little success but blame that on my laziness and procrastination.
