If you are sitting with your computer, you are not doing anything

I think my entire family thinks that. My sister used to keep complaining about it but I thought she was just being nit-picky but in the last couple of days whenever I have sat with my computer to check my work email or work on my essays, someone will constantly come talk to me and try to get me to do something else. They know all my work is done on the computer but I still the get the same statement," Oh you are just sitting on the computer, come help me in the kitchen". Seriously I am not just checking email or facebook on the computer, I do other work too. 

Today I tried to work on my admits and I clearly spelt it out to everyone but still someone has to come in every half an hour and ask me what I am doing and eventually around tea time they decide what I am doing is really not important so every 10 min someone pops their head in and asks me to do something. Really how exactly am I supposed to write a paragraph of the essay if I cannot maintain the train of thought. But well I am sitting with my computer so I am really not doing anything important.
