Everything is fine

While living in another place, in another country, I just assume that everything is fine at home. It's the same way they must be assuming that everything is fine with my world because I do not say anything. 

It really is a shocker when I come back and the wonderful bubble I have created is burst and I realize the world is just the way it used to be, I just chose to ignore all the issues and problems and put a blanket over them thinking they all disappeared when I left. I think one of the reasons I do it is because being in another country, its impossible for me to be of any help and constantly thinking about it makes me feel completely helpless. By assuming nothing is wrong, I live happy in my little world because otherwise it would become impossible to exist as a sane person.
