Are you having fun ??

This is the question my boss asked me in the morning meeting. She wanted to know if I am enjoying my job. Well what do you think I told her, uh ummm ummm sure ....yes that is exactly what my answer was. What do you think I was going to tell her, "I hate my job and I am currently working on a plan to get out of here as soon as possible? No incentive you give me is going to keep me here though I will take all the money you give me."

I don't know what world my boss lives in but I don't know how she can envision my job to be fun. I work in a crappy steel mill with old dilapidated computers or excuses for computers that seem to stop working at a moment's notice. My colleague that I am supposed to work in conjunction with does nothing but complain all day about his work and life. No offense meant to him, he is an ok guy but I like happy people at work because it makes you want to come in everyday. I don't think I get paid enough and I know for sure that I could be more productive if I had better stuff to do. Well so as you see and as I should have told my boss, NO I am not having FUN.
