Essays
I am done with the scary GMAT and am on the next step of the application process. Now if someone told you that just give the GMAT and then you are all ready to go to business school, then they are wrong. You still have so much to do.
Just take me as an example. I am planning to apply to 6 schools, so that would be 6 essays to write... WRONG..that is equivalent to almost 20 essays. They are not that long but they are definitely different and each one needs a lot of input from the individual, ME.Another thing that is really important, is breaking the news to my boss that I am leaving next year and it would be nice if she could write recommendations for 6 schools. Not 1 but 6, so she has about 10 essays of her own to do. No idea how I am going to relate this information to her without affecting the promotion I am due for in January. Wish it was as simple as going for a Masters degree where you wrote 1 essay for unlimited schools.
Now back to the 25 essays I have to write. The schools really do not want to make your life easier. One of them has a topic, how are you going to introduce yourself to your classmates on the first day. How am I going to do that, well I am going to walk over and say, hello I am Bindi and have worked in the steel industry for 4yrs and so have lost all my social skills. I am going to be your classmate for the next two years so if you like me or not, you better learn how to tolerate me.
I doubt I am going to write anything of this sort, but it would be a shocker for the readers at the university if I did do it. I just won't do it because it costs me about $250 to just give a group of people some laughs. So back to the writing pad and back to appropriate grammar to write some boring essays.
