Saving Money : A Task

Just the other day I was talking to a cousin of mine and he asked me how much I have saved since I started working. When I gave him the amount I was told that he was really disappointed as I had not saved enough but just a couple of days prior to that I had looked at my savings account and had been really proud of myself.

His remark made the wheels in my gujju head spin and I started the calculations. Starting with salary and subtracting as many expenses as I could think of I still could not account for a substantial amount of money, no idea where I spent it. Looking back at my credit card bills because obviously once, its disappearing money matters I can't stop.I realised I spend money on the most innate things without giving it a second thought because there is always going to be the next pay check in exactly two weeks. Putting that money aside is a big task because every month you see some new gadget and there is nothing else in the world you desire more than that. Saving money is an uphill task and I for one will have to work really hard at it.
